asus 7970 makes squeeking like noises

hi guys

i have a new build and have a new asus 7970. i have just installed the secret world and started playing the game with max settings, my frame rate was ok but my card started to make noises like sort of ticking squeeky noise. when i turned down ssoa the noise would stop or become quiet. the thing is my card would start to make some noise even at the start up screens in the secret world. but when i play batman arkham city even on maxed out settings it doesn`t make any noise at all, even when benchmarking the game.

is it just the secret world that is poorly configed or drivers or is it just something that happens with high end cards ?

i am using 12.11 6 beta drivers

It's capacitor squealing. It's not all that uncommon, and it may go away over time.

thats ok then so long as theres nothing wrong, i haven`t used the card really at all at the moment so maybe it will go once i start using it more. i only play on it like 5 mins at a time at the moment just trying to get my stuff back on windows

I have had my HD 7970 since launch and it has not gone anyway with normal play. I have not tried leaving it in game menus though. The second Reference HD 7970 i got does the same thing. HD 6990 has this too. So did my HD 6970 and HD 6950.
