Will this work with my board without a performance drop

i am about to order a new graphics card but am unsure whether this card will work with my board with out a considerable drop in performance. the card is a Sapphire 11199-00-20G HD7870 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card.
link to site: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11199-00-20G-HD7870-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/product-description/B007MUJL2E/ref=dp_proddesc_0?ie=UTF8&n=340831031&s=computers

my system specs are:
cpu: amd Phenom II x6
ram: 8gb 16000 mhz
board: asusrock n68-s -ucc
PSU: 750w

so if anyone who know about this card or any ingeneral who has had the same question would like to reply it would be greatly appreciated.
and when replying if their is a performance drop if you could give me precentage of how much and then your opinion whether it would be worth it it would be a great help.

You forgot to mention the board.

But as long as it has a PCI-E x16 2.0 free slot, you can shove a 7970 in there and it won't be bottlenecked if gaming @ 1080p or higher.
If gaming on lower resolution, it might be held back a bit but you'll have more than enough fps to have a nice gaming experience. (you might loose like 5%)

If you wanna get the best bang-for-buck card right now (7950), get it and don't worry about performance drop.
Otherwise, the 7870 is a solid card too thumb.gif

What board are you using? what is your current GPU? We'll definitely need more information than what you have provided so far. As most here will recommend fill out the rig info in your profile and that will help immensely.

yer thats it so i should be good it should have very little performance drop?. what do you think the performance would be on bf3 or borderlands 2 on 1080p resolution. what do you think the estimated frames would be. have you got the same board or something because you got an image of it very fast

Found it through google. Boards aren't usually the bottleneck when gaming. GPU matters much more.
Your performance will look like this if not better with the newer 12.11 drivers:
