Should I buy Nexus 10?

Thread Starter
Hey guys just wondering if the Nexus 10 is any good .. Thinking about buying it when it comes out but not sure... Should I buy it or is there something else thats better for 400. And does it support flash videos off of the internet?thanks

It seems great. I want one except I have an iPad. I believe that it does have some flash functionality, but Google has waned away from it according to the reviews that I watched. Hit up Youtube and see if it is something you would like. I'm concerned about the dual core, but I saw some people say that this dual core was better than the Nexus 7 quad core? Maybe someone can shed some light on that.

The quad-core in the Nexus 7 is a Cortex A9 processor. It's an inferior architecture to the Cortex A15 in the Nexus 10. It's one powerful device, that's for sure.

Tegra 3 is the model of the SoC, the architecture used for the Tegra 3 processor is Cortex A9. The new Exynos 5250, the SoC in the Nexus 10 uses a Cortex A15 based processor.

If you need the specs I say get the Nexus 10. Otherwise it doesn't seem any different from the run of the mill tablet like a Transformer.

The high screen resolution and other specs are definitely impressive. Being built by Samsung helps. However, no Micro SD slot on a 10" tablet is unforgivable. It's bad enough that Apple does it with the IPad but did Google really have to repeat the error they made with the Nexus 7? More to the point, you can almost forgive the Nexus 7 for not having one. Google released a 32GB version for the same price as the 16GB to offset customer complaints. On a 10" tablet (especially one with such an impressive screen), there would be an even larger emphasis on video playback. No Micro SD hobbles the device significantly.

I am going to buy one in a few months. I just bought a Nexus 4 so I need to wait a bit.

I love my Toshiba tablet but they have basically said it is never ever getting upgraded beyond ICS 4.0.3 and it cannot be rooted or flashed.

I think Nexus devices are really the only way to go if you want the latest OS. Everyone else except maybe Asus really drags their feet.

I can't see why I would root my Toshiba Excite 7.7? There are a few apps that may have a purpose but otherwise there is no need. I can read external storage devices without the need for rooting.

Yeah I don't care about the rooting part but I can't make up for the lack of updates with jelly bean roms.
