C++/C# Daemon Processes

Hey guys I need some help on making a daemon processes program that would terminate/start processes and be completely self monitored. I have some idea on what is needed but just wanted some input from here on starting it.

Which OS? 'daemon' is a Linux/UNIX term and if you're using that platform then you needn't got as low level as C++/C#.

I suspect you're talking about Windows Services though?

Windows Services is correct. Its just the senior developer is asking me to do it in C#/C++. The systems are running Windows 7 (they will probably be updated to Windows 8 soon though not that it would change anything.) I looked at this program called Circus 2.0. It looks very similar to what I have to design.

It is fairly easy to create a service using C# in Visual Studio.

Yeh from the time this was posted I have already created it. I looked at different methods and examples online and just came up with one that fits my senior developer's needs. Thanks though thumb.gif
