I had a RAID1 set up on my AMD computer which after four years finally stop working (24/7 for 4 years! Got my moneys worth. ) and need to get the data from the RAID drive to the new computer. Any suggestions?

Can you just plug a drive in and read the data off of it with no issue as it was RAID 1?

I've tried that and windows knows the drive is there but can't read data from it.
Maybe I've missed something.

Try turning off RAID and booting up from a LiveCD of ubuntu and see if you can read the data that way. If not, leave RAID off, and try seeing the drive with R-Studio. It can get around these kinds of issues.
