Why cant I fnd internal 2.5 HDD 1.5TB+

Ive look around and all ive been able to find were 1tb internal drives.

Clearly the 1.5-2tb external 2.5 usb powered drives exist so why dont they sell internal ones?

Are the external ones designed differently? if I pop a case open will it work without issue? or are they supposed to be in external due to heat or something?

keep in mind that these are 15mm in height and they won't fit in your notebook

WHOA! I had no idea; so the 2.5 drives sold in stores cant just be popped open and put into a laptop? thst makes total sense now.

No wonder some internals are so expensive compared to what ive seen in 2.5 externals.

Yes that would work fine but it's just cheaper buying the drive without the case if the case is not needed.

hmmm can you explain eddie says the 2.5 externals are 15mm drives and hence arent the right size to put into a laptop.

Standard laptop 2.5 drives are 10mm thick and most laptops don't have the extra room to use a 15mm thick drive.
