Right but you can show gravity, as a theory, in effect. Can you show that Windows 7 can't be updated to WDDM1.2 via a platform update like Vista was?

People are quite correctly calling bullcrap. There's a difference between this and the update to 10 from 9 (Where Windows Vista was so radically different from Windows XP, that Windows XP couldn't include it at all without a major, expensive, rewrite)... Whereas Windows 7 and Windows 8 are very, very similar.

There is no reason that Windows 7 couldn't have this update and enjoy some of those improvements.

Except that doesn't net any $$££ for MS.
