hi all,

just wondering whether people have noticed a temp difference between vertically mounted or horizontally mounted air coolers (specifically the nh-d14).... atm i have it horizontally mounted with my empty drive bay (which has the fan in it) mounted in topmost slot to increase airflow.

i have included some highly detailed expert airflow diagrams lachen.gif that shows my current setup.

thanks in advance for any ideas/advice

Horizontal. Your vga will block allot of air from getting sucked into the fan if it's vertical.

To go vertical you will need at least 40mm between GPU and cooler intake fan. More is better.

If you remove the rear vent grille and make a duct from back of radiator to vent all heat from cooler will be dumped out of case. It's what I do.
