Does AMD have a year (or longer) warranty?

My 3870k APU artifacts to hell when I leave my computer on for more than a few hours. No overclocking, excellent temps. Does AMD provide any kind of warranty past the 30 day newegg thing?

They have to i believe there AMD processors come with a warranty information booklet(inside the box) have a read!

Wow I wouldnt even have thought that possible, for the APU to fail without affecting the CPU. Have you ruled out the possibility that it could be your ram?

Yeah RAM stick's been fine in several other computers.

I tried driver sweeper in safe mode + latest official catalyst stable build. Still installing. I don't know why it would work this time but I'll let you know.

I wish FM2 and FM1 were compatible though. frown.gif

I just checked my warranty card for an FX-8350, it says there's a 3 year warranty. I would expect it to be the same for all their cpu's.

would the serial number on the cpu itself not count for warranty purposes?
