In the advanced settings in the permissions tab try removing any other users besides yourself. I assume you are an administrator on your computer correct? if you are then click change permissions, deselect the "include inheritable permissions from the objects parent" and a security window will appear select remove (this will remove any permissions being passed to it allowing you to set them manually). Then click the add button this will display the select user or group window, click advanced and then click find now on the side then highlight Administrators and hit ok in both the windows and it should display a permissions list. just check the allow for full control and click ok. That should give you the access you need. (This is assuming you are apart of the administrators group)

Go to edit, and add users instead of administrator. Then tick full control and you should be able to delete.

seems like I had this problem a while back, I think this is what I used to fix it adds a "take ownership" option to the R-click menu

and one you take owner ship it should let you do what you want

Are the permissions/ownership the same on the folders in there? Also check a file in that same folder to make sure its permissions/ownership have changed.

I have had the issue of taking ownership of the drive itself but the folders inside didnt inherit the same permissions.

It worked except for a macromedia flash .ocx file I had in syswow and sys32. i deleted some permissions and gave full permissions to "Everyone" That got rid of the last stubborn ones.
