Help me get my 3570K stable at 4.5ghz!

Thread Starter
Hey

So I bumped the vcore to 1.28 at 4.5ghz and it passes every IBT and prime test. But i occasionally find 3 or 4 WHEA LOGGER errors. These errors make me mad. Should I bump up the voltage a bit? like 1.29?

I've kept LLC at Ultra High. Cpu Current capability at 140%(red). Is that okay?

You guys got any recommendation?

Thanks!

I hit 85C with my H60 and I think thats the highest a lot of people over here are comfortable with.

85C in Prime is ok, but not in everyday applications/gaming.

LLC on ultra high is too high, try to bring that down to next highest setting.

I got mine stable at 4.6GHz but naturally with more vcore.

Look at my build log, in sig, for overclocking tips, bios pics and settings.

85 Degrees at 4.5Ghz sounds high but I'm not familiar with H60 cooling capabilities. Different hardwares, different chips there is really no single set of settings that works for all. Your chip might be lil more vcore thirsty but at those temps I wouldnt push it more. Mine is stable at 4.8 and I give it up to 1.4v with relaxed llc settings, it doesnt go over 80 in benches. If I had that hot of a chip I would try de-lidding

I'm switching back to 4.4ghz then. Its pretty cold here so my temps are within the limits. I can imagine whats going to happen during summer.

THANKS! Looks like my stabibility testing and overcloking paid off. Alot of whea logger errors on friday when I had to redo my voltage and overclock settings with my 3570k, constant testing, where again I found a stable overclock. No errors at all saturday or today, I guess I am good now!

edit: spoke to soon just got one whea error for today. but way less today than previous, well f*** it, close enough, it passed occt and p95, I'm keeping it at this overclock.

WHEA errors aren't necessarily the CPU overclock - if it is Prime and IBT stable, I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can bump the voltage a notch if you want though - 1.28 for 4.5 is not all that high.
