Hey guys,
I'm looking for 16GB of memory to replace my current Corsair Vengeance because I'm getting an air cooler that isn't compatible with it. I've heard a lot about Samsung 'Wonder RAM', is it really the best value for money memory you can get? I'm also a bit put off by it because I hate the bare PCB, I like RAM with plastic covers

Is this the right stuff?

The Samsung ram is just about the best lowpro ram you can get.

that is the right stuff. people have overclocked this ram to over 2400mhz. also, at 1600mhz, they have gotten timings down to 7-8-7-24 in some cases, but getting 7-8-8-24 is more common.

Are there any other manufacturers that use the wonder RAM but put their own heatspreader on it? I know Kingston buy certain excess Samsung modules and do this.

not that i know of... why would you want heat spreader, you wont be able to see it. it doesnt even come out of the ram slot.

What kind of heatsink isn't compatible with that low profile Corsair Vengeance? I have an NHD14 with four sticks on each side and it still has clearance.
