Beats studio - Hissing

Please dont post beats are a rip off/ crap ect.. ive heard it all before and couldn't care less.

My beats are hissing even with no cables plugged in at all. Is this normal?

Are you able to disable the powered noise cancelling circuitry? I'd suspect that's what your hearing.

If you're hearing the hiss without plugging them in, that should be the logical problem.

They are cheap to the point of where, use them very lightly.

Probably the battery powered amplifier.

but the noise cancelling circuitry makes sense as well. Creates noise to cancel out repetitive noises.

Why has a headphone thread about Beats been moved out to the dark corner that is Home Audio but every other headphone thread been left in Soundcards and Computer audio?

hmmm well the pair of beats studios i have do make a slight hissing sound when they are on (with our without cable), with music not noticeable. With the beats pros from them i dont notice any background noise at least so I would think its the noise canceling circuity. In an older pair of noise canceling headphones from sony there was a bit of a hiss as well. redface.gif
