So based on those suggestions, I take it you think that it would be worth the money to upgrade?

Yes at the very least

Knowing that Most 3570k / 3770k will do 4.2ghz on stock volts.. "Mine does" and my Chip is only an Avg one..

Also if u want even more u can delid and u would be looking at these kind of numbers.. Run these on your system and compare..

Then your getting A New chipset new tech pci-e 3.0 you can Slap 2800mhz ram in with out issue.

You're doing that gpu wrong by pairing it up with a semi-dated cpu. An upgrade would be a very good thing.

i5 3570k, I never got why people kept bashing it for temps I'm very happy with mine even at 4.8Ghz. You'd save 100 bucks over the 3770K and putting it on the gpu or cooling would make a much bigger difference.
