No, it won't.
That is DirectX 10, everyone can make an assumption for DirectX 11.1. No, I'm not being disagreed with you but I'm just thinking that DirectX 11.1 will be popular in the future for gaming. biggrin.gif

Also, it would be interesting to determine how much the absence of Aero in Windows 8 contributes to the lower memory usage of Windows 8.

Microsoft's main goal should be to convince people to get off from Windows XP, and that means get people to use any newer Windows versions. Ostracising people by forcing them to upgrade to an OS that has the exclusive of a minor update to DirectX in this economically troubled climate would not be a wise decision at all.
Obviously clueless, if you're not a game developer then try not shedding light on the subject. You're only making yourself look foolish. DirectX 11.1 was not a little update.

Also my Win 7 boots up in less than 10 seconds, simply because I don't shut it down, I put it to sleep.

I was just reading about this about an hour ago. xD

How long does bootup and starting programs? Does it lag at all? Seems like running a full blown OS off of a USB 2.0 flash drive would be slow.

once u install fanceycache everything loads fast without fanceycache the os would be as slow as vista haha
boot time after fancy cache installed is as fast as a normal ssd because it kicks right in when the os loads up
of course u have to make some adjustments to fancy cache but the point is usb drives cheap portable and the software is free I reckon that's a good price/performance and after you install programs they stay on the usb and will work on any other computer i'm on the usb os as im typing been running it for about a week now on 8 different systems ranging from intel and amd desktops and laptops old and new u could practically take it any ware with games installed!!!

I always had aero disabled in windows 7, it screwed with some of my games such as skyrim and alt tabbing, also messed with UAC2 anti cheat and produced blank screenshots so I had it disabled always wink.gif
