It seems in the last week Apple have been paying out more than they have been getting from lawsuits.

Its pretty crazy to see 21 million spent on a Clock skin. And only a tenth of that go to relief effort in Sandy. Probably hundreds of there customers lost there homes or lost a loved one or where injured in the Storm. But the feel a clock skin is more important.

No, they got sued $21 million. Donating $2.5 million was because they wanted to. Paying $21 million to Swiss Rail is because they had to.

No, you're wrong despite evidence to the contrary! This is OCN, where Apple either donates $10+ billion for a cause despite having paid nearly as much as other tech companies (Samsung) and more than others (Google), or they are the worst company in the world. Don't let your rose-colored sunglasses get in the way of OCN rational.

On a serious note, $21 million is chump change to the wealthiest tech company in the world. The clock skin is completely worth it, IMO, because it consists of sheer elegance (IMO). tongue.gif Well done, Apple, well done!

Also, congratulations to Apple for donating $2.5 million despite not having to. Entitled people tend to think Apple owes them something, but thankfully they don't listen 99% of the time. The hefty donation is yet another reason why Apple is among the best companies in the world and why we as Americans should be proud of them (despite them paying < 5% tax). tongue.gif

i think he was being sarcastic. unless you are too. in that case, too many sarcasm

seems like a lot of money for a clock. why not just design a similar minimalist type clock? i doubt it would cost 21M.
i wouldnt think badly of something like this with some tweaks (square off the arms and change the face colour/texture). its even got those nice rounded corners they like so much tongue.gif

How stupid can apple be? I mean, didn't they do research into copyright even after when they sued Samsung? That and didn't they expect this to happen after they copied someone else?
