Have you plugged in the 8800 GT? apparently so
Have you plugged in the CPU power (top right white connector near the copper heatsink on the motherboard)

PS: Don't cut off stuff from your PSU.

EDIT:
Plugged in connections at the back?

After that we turned on the PC, but no signal... Wt#? Tried another working card, just to be sure, no signal... Put back the nVidia 8800GT, did a CMOS reset, still nothing.
I'm convinced the cut-off PSU 4-pin plug isn't the issue. My mootherboard doesn't need that plug, so it being cut-off shoulden't matter. As for the Firewire, it has never been plugged in, so that doesn't matter either.
What's going on?

What makes you think that you don't need the 4 pin power? doh.gif
Even most single core 939/775 systems won't boot without that plug, for reference.

It might be worth actually learning about computers before claiming that your knowledge is accurate.

This PSU has the main + the 4 in 1 cable sleeve. It was an additional square 4-pin connector for something else. God knows what.

It sounds like the PSU you are referencing is a 20 pin with detachable 4 pin add-on for PCI-E systems. You still need that additional 4 pin square one...

Anyway... Don't cut cables, just because you don't need them rolleyes.gif --> But cutting them off is normally NO problem causing a PC not to boot or giving No Signal errors...

(als elektricien doe ik het ook en werkt natuurlijk, maarja bij PC's doe ik het nu wel niet hehe)

And how SURE are you that the card is working?

Maybe it "died" while transporting it? (but then again your other "test" card should have worked...)

Try to use another connector (if it has more than 1 HDMI or DVI or .. connector on the card)

Maybe you accidently "unplugged" the cable at the back of your monitor...

Maybe you did not insulate a cable well enough. Re-check all the cutt off cables and BE SURE they:

1) do not touch eachother

2) do not touch the chassis or some other components...
