or an ASUS 680 2gb (but bigger cooling) for $523-599

i will be using this card for gaming and will soon be purchasing another 27" moniter with 1080p so for you gents out their who have a 680 what would you get?

If you're not going to utilise the 2GB ram buffer, than go with the Asus card.

The 680 lighting is hands down the best Kepler card out, period. If you choose to stick with Nvidia go with this, you will not be sorry thumb.gif

You won't be able to do surround on 2 monitors, it only works on 3, so if you are planning 3 monitors for 5760x1080 I'd definitely get the 4GB one. I get on fine with 1.5GB 580s at that resolution, but only with no MSAA, and it's only just enough, so I'd get the extra VRAM. For surround you're going to need at least 2 680s for acceptable frames, but one will probably do in a pinch at medium settings until you can put another one in.

You can get two 7950 for cheaper than that headscratch.gif
I don't get it.

600$ for a GTX680, what the hell? The 7970 is 200$ cheaper, 33% less expensive with practicably the same performance and it can be overvolted.

Feel free to invest your money in what you think is the best - I think we don't have the same criteria of what is best.

I agree with the MSi recommendation, that or the Asus.
At your resolution a 680 will have more then enough power, don't consider a Radeon.

You want quality, not quantity.
Go with the more solid, smoother, nearly trouble-free drivers of a GTX, the PhsyX performance is unmatched as well.

a single 7950 oced is better performance than a 680 ONLY $250 for 680 PERFORMANCE by amd. Don;t throw your money away on nvidia. My friend just sold his 680 (which he lost allot on cause they arn't worth much now thanks to amd) and bought 2 new 7950s his performance kills a 680 and the 2 were cheaper than a single 680

Once again don't throw your money away on nvidia. You will regret it

You do realize the 680 can be overclocked too? Lmao. And you do know 680/670 are on our 2nd or 3rd WHQL? And when we get a upgrade in performance you will say what? Nothing.

A 680 lighting does all of that and is $460.

My main question for you now is... if your sig rig is true, you have SLI 570s. Then why are you upgrading?
