A 680 lighting does all of that and is $460.

Can't be overvolted stock anymore so it limits the overclock substantially. Oh, and "umadbro?"

But back on topic if you really want Nvida go with the Lightning:) But yea a 7970 is better bang for your buck, possibly just better bang period.

This is the card I bought:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130771

I am more than pleased with the performance especially running triple monitors and not skipping a beat, I would highly recommend it.

Yes you can, lol. Guess you never spent 2 min in the 680 lighting owners thread? You can just flash the original LN2 bios and its unlocked doh.gif

This is the most powerful GTX 680 on the planet, bar none! There is no disputing this. Shoo Asus and EVGA boys and girls boxing3.gif

When it comes down to it, there is no reason to have all those features the ASUS card has because its voltage is locked, and unless your good with a soldering iron the lighting IS your card.

At current prices the Nvidia cards are overpriced. Performance wise a HD 7950 (1.15 Ghz) is faster than GTX 680 (1.25 Ghz). If you prefer Nvidia then get a GTX 670 like the EVGA GTX 670 FTW or Gigabyte GTX 670 FTW. But the best option would be to get a HD 7950 like Gigabyte HD 7950 OC for 300 bucks and overclock it.

Agreed. Asus 680 is garbage and costs more. Screw physical volt modding.

My time with my Lightning 680 was nothing short of spectacular. Card came with LN2 3A unlocked bios and did 1372/1771 (101% game stable) with Afterburner 2.2.3 and that wasn't even its max. Temperatures didn't even budge at least not to a concerning degree. I'm sure with the Afterburner/Artmoney voltage hack, the card could have easily breached 1400/1800. Lightning 680 is king in Nvidia's corner. And I'm speaking as an ATI/AMD boy thumb.gif

Here are some stats biggrin.gif
