Power Suppy Wont Start Up, Not Sure if Just PSU Thats Broken...

My PSU is broke, I believe I got some moisture in it originally it would light up and the fans would spin (Including the case fans and the mobo) for a few secs on and off then shut off without booting but now it dosent turn on at all. Im afraid that its fried but im not sure if its the whole comp and the PSU is the only thing that could have possibly have gotten wet. Its a Fatal1ty 750w I have a i5 2500k w/ a ASrock Mobo (p67) a 560 ti and 8 gbs o ram. 120gb ssd (vertex 3) and thats bout it. PLZ HALP!redface.gif

How did it get wet? And was it just the PSU that came into contact with the moisture do you know? Have you got another PSU handy that you could test the mobo/cpu with?

The best thing you can do is try to find another PSU, or check the one you have ATM. Can you open it up ( this will void your warranty ) and see if there is any moisture / any burnt out capacitors. If it has gone, then you can hope it's just that and there wasn't a power surge or anything to your PC. Buy another PSU and hope for the best.

Was the wattage to low for my components (no overclocking or volt mods)?

No chance, your rig would be, at max, pulling around 500w, if that. Moisture would cause the PCB in the PSU to short out, thus causing a powersurge, and ruining your PSU.
