Just downloaded crystal disk info for the fun and here what I got:



I think I've re installed win7 3 times & upgraded to win8. Installed max 5 games on it. Followed guide to minimize amount of writing & also installed everything on the hard drive (downloads & various programs).

Am I too overkill or the reading is wrong?

Yup that is possible it was mostly the first MLCs that had quick degradation

Wow, I have had this for some time now, and with all the abuse I put it through, Jesus Crucial. I re-install Windows, every 2 months, and constantly use the laptop under stress. Really surprised.

Seems about right, here's mine with 2765 hours and ~6-8 windows install.
In fact, it just dropped to 99% after my Win8 install last week smile.gif

I'm really surprised tough as I heard flash was not lasting a long time

I think all this is showing is that those programs are just guessing. As far as I know, the only way to know how much life is left on the actual NAND is when it fails, and then you know that was the limit. The endurance testing shows that NAND lasts much longer than the 5,000 cycles or whatever they advertise.
