Good build? Recommendations for CPU Cooler?

Thread Starter
I've assembled this new beauty for a PC and haven't gotten the chance to brag about it for 2 months smile.gif
Anyway, I'm looking on getting a new CPU cooler to cool my CPU because it has been getting a maximum of 67 Celsius.
Current Desk Setup:
AOC I2353FH 23 inch Widescreen LCD Monitor
Dell E177FP 17-inch LCD
Logitech Z5500 5.1 Surround Sound
Logitech G510
Microsoft Explorer Mouse - 5-btn Mouse - Wireless - 2.4 GHz

Current PC Setup:
PROCESSOR: Intel i7-3770k 4.0GHZ
GRAPHICS CARD: Palit GeForce GTX 670 JETSTREAM
SOUND CARD: Asus Xonar D2
RAM: 8GB 1600MHZ RAM
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Z77-DS3H
HARDRIVES: 119GB M4-CT128M4SSD2 ATA Device (SSD)
932GB Western Digital WDC WD1002FBYS-05A6B0
CASE: Zalman Z11 Plus
PSU: 650W (Unknown, I haven't managed to remember that since I bought it)
I'm looking for a new CPU Cooler for this baby because I wouldn't want her to fry before I get to properly test her gaming capabilities. Any ideas which'd actually fit in this case?

Depends on your budget. NH-D14 would be a classic choice, you might also want to look into the H80i or H100i

Budget wise? Have a look at the 212+ from coolermaster, the Noctua NH D-14 is also a solid choice, if not a bit expensive if you have the room. If you want to go Closed Loop solution, then either the h80i or the h100i as suggested previously are good choices. Also, Antec Kuhler 920 is also a very good option to look at.

I'm looking at a budget of about £100. For a cooler I'm not really willing to devote a large stash of cash.

Ok,- your options, if you want to go air, Noctua. If you want to go closed loop, h100i or h80i depending on space. I'm pretty sure the zalman z11 has space for a 240mm RAD with the h100i, so i would recommend that. Found here for £91.

Can vouch for the NH-D14. My i7 2600K @4.4Ghz is currently idling at 23-26c. Not much more over 60c under full load. Amazing cooler thumb.gif
