I have an HP Pavilion G7 with the A4-3300m. I've been running it with its current overclock settings for probably about 8 months with no issues. Now for the last week I've been noticing that its running hotter and rarely idles even with no programs running. It spends probably 90% of the time in the P0 state. Manually setting its state in K10stat has no effect, i can set it to P6 and it will still remain in P0, with an occasion drop into P6, then back to P0.
These are my current OC settings, everything was tested with prime95 and stable. No problems with them in 8 months.
B0 3100 - 1.3500v
P0 2500 - 1.1125v
P1 2300 - 1.0500v
P2 2000 - 0.9750v
P3 1600 - 0.9250v
P4 1300 - 0.8250v
P5 1000 - 0.7375v
P6 800 - 0.7125v
There are no processes running in the background to cause it. Anybody have any ideas what could be causing this?
