I'll be starting a course on doing 2d and 3d modeling not too long from now, so I'd like to start planning a PC build for it well in time.
The programs I will be using is:
AutoCAD, Inventor, 3D Studio Max, Revit and Photoshop.
Short description of what I will do/make:
Blueprints, 3D-models, drawing development (Not sure if that is the correct translation), rendering and imaging.
It all is supposed to end up as photorealistic presentations and animations which will be well documented.
The computer will be used almost exclusively for that, with the exeption being the internet surfing that comes with it. Everything else will go on my laptop.
The CPU part of it all is what's bothering me. As I haven't cared too much about intel before I don't know much about their different processors, or which one would fit me. As far as I can understand a powerful i7 would be good enough, but I have no idea which one. If anyone could come with some good suggestions I'd be really greatful for it. Also, I'm not too worried about the price as long as it's justifiable.
For the GPU I've been thinking about getting a Quadro 4000 if I can get my hands on a cheap one second hand. This one is pretty much decided, but if anyone got any other suggestions to the GPU go ahead and share them.
I will be running two monitors, both at atleast 1920x1080.
Looking forward to reading replies on this(Don't be afraid to come with suggestions!), I will also try to be as quick with my responses as humanly possible.
