Eyefinity Question

Finally I decided to setup Eyefinity on my 5970, but when I did my third monitor didn't work (the first DVI port.) The mini displayport to HDMI which I was using, and the second DVI port worked fine, but the first DVI port did not. It did however work when I unplugged the other two monitors so the port is not damaged.

I found out that in order to get a third monitor working, I needed a mini displayport to active DVI adapter (as opposed to the mini displayport to HDMI.) All three of my monitors have HDMI, so I will need to get a DVI to HDMI adapter. I'm wondering if this will work, or will the DVI to HDMI screw up the mini displayport to active DVI adapter.

I used the first adapter (mini DP) to make my eyefinity work.

Does it make a difference whether you use a DVI cable, or convert it from DVI to HDMI? Basically I'm wondering if the HDMI conversion will mess up the mini displayport to active DVI as opposed to just using a DVI cable (but my monitor only supports HDMI so I need a DVI to HDMI cable.)

you have to go all dvi and not mix it...

active display port adapter to dvi..
hdmi to dvi
main-dvi to dvi...
