The last choice that I was going to make was between 7970 and 7950 (see link if intrested: http://www.overclock.net/t/1325903/7970-or-7950-its-been-done-to-death-i-know/20), I decided I want to be a bit less cheap and get the flagship 7970. However I have been advised that the card I have been looking at may not be the best choice. And the one that I like is WAAAY too much money. So it comes down to three cards

HIS IceQ X² 7970 (925/1375) 399 with $40 rebate and 3 free games
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161412

Saphire Radeon HD 7970 OC with boost (950=>1000/1425==>1450) with $20 rebate and 3 free games
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202008

XFX Double D Radeon HD 7970 Black Edition (1000/1425) with $30 rebate and 3 free games
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150586

So any opinions????

PS: for those who don't know already I DO NOT overclock GPUs anymore

Get the sapphire HD 7970 OC card. the Sapphire dual x cooler is better than XFX DD. if you can spend a bit more get the Gigabyte HD 7970 Ghz at 1.1 Ghz. Since you mentioned in the other thread that you don't want to overclock this has one of the highest clocks out of the box. The windforce 3x cooler is one of the best.

Pulled the trigger on the Sapphire 7970 OC w/boost. Read too many horror stories and recommendations that went against XFX. Not to mention that it was easier and more reliable if I WANTED to OC and that it was quieter and ran as cool, if not cooler than the XFX DD Black.
