Question on coolant.

I have been doing a lot of reading and found a lot of conflicting information. I know this has been talked about before but i want opinion on a good coolant to use. i am thinking of using the blood red primochill coolant. or do you guys think i would be happier with distilled water and dye like Feser View Active UV Dye (Red). i know using dye makes more work but what i read it really dose not hurt anything am i correct in this??

Could someone or everyone recomend a good colored coolant or dye to use in my system.

Thanks so much for this information. i like the idea that it is just made for the purpose of water cooling PC's.

Mayhems seem to be the most innovative coolant making company of them all. The good thing about them is that they only focus on coolants nothing else, when for the other big guns like EK Koolance etc. coolant is just an addition to the other products they offer, so they cannot dedicate tem selfs purely to design outstanding products.

DO NOT use the blood red Primochill if you like the color. It fades quickly, a week after I put it into my system it looks half as dark as it did when I started.

@BiaBia there could be a reason for that such as the PH of you system. Its might not be the product at all wink.gif ..

I use secret...strong enough for him but ph balanced for her biggrin.gif

All kidding aside, I doubt it's my loop, I cleaned everything prior to installtion and I didn't add anything other than the cooling fluid. I did pass it though a coffee filter though as it looked like some crap was floating in the bottle so I might just have gotten a bad bottle.

Yeh coolant can go off if not stored correctly and this can have a issue when added to a loop. Red is a good indicator if some thing is wrong though as it does lose / change colour.
