Best Gaming Monitor (27"?)

Thread Starter
hey guys

looking for a 27" monitor for pc and xbox gaming, any recommendations on the best choice?

I want 2x27" but dont really want to pay for the gaming premium on a 2nd screen which has caused me some hard decisions!

Thanks for any help!

So are you looking for two screens or one?

Also i'm pretty sure your 5850 will not be able to handle 2x 27" screens

Especially for gaming any 27' 1080p TN monitor will do. You don't really have the computer to run 1440p or even 2 and it's complete waste for Xbox.
Keep in mind that 1080p is designed for 24' so it will look "meh" on 27'.

Maybe an update of your system specs might help.

Also remember that the price jump from 1080 to 1440 is steep and at 1080 you'd be better off with a 24" monitor.
A final point is that Xbox displays at 720p so everything will be stretched to fit.

The conversion puts you at roughly $750-$900 I think, but I dunno what the prices are like where you are. If it were me with that budget I'd want 1440p for at least one of the screens. I just made the switch and it's fantastic, especially with a bluray. Games look awesome as well, of course.
