Best Gaming Monitor (27"?) - Page 4

Whatever you pick make sure it has HDCP and has no handshake issues otherwise hooking up the 360 is going to either be a pain or not work at all.

Are we talking Xbox or Xbox 360? 360 has HDCP on the digital outs. What cable are you using with the capture card? HDMI, VGA, or Component?

The only two reviews of 27" that I know of that test the consoles:

Handshake issues - http://wecravegamestoo.com/forums/gadgetry-electronics-discussion/11198-samsung-s27a850d-review.html

No issues - http://wecravegamestoo.com/forums/gadgetry-electronics-discussion/11962-asus-pb278q-review.html

Even though it works fine with the capture card, with the monitor it requires a handshake (even though the HDCP is only/mostly for movies [no one seems to be entirely certain]) when you toggle the monitor to that input. With HDMI+HDCP input you should have no problem. If you have to use an HDMI to DVI adapter there could be issues.

I'm not an expert on the subject, but from all the reviews I've read it is definitely something to consider when determining which monitor to choose.

if youve got the budget then go this ( ASUS PB Series PB278Q 27" 5ms ) great 1440 monitor with height swivel AND pivot ( for running in portrait mode) there shouldnt be anything else you are looking at over this bad boy. If you dont have the budget then save up and buy this. nuff said.

i can afford it, but im buying 2 monitors, it seems a bit overkill to pay for 2 of them and i want matching screens

How is 6ms terrible? I've been using 5ms TN panel and I've always did very well in every game, been very high in CoD4 and LoL.
