is it dying ?

Thread Starter
so a few days ago, my cpu failed a work unit in folding ( just like failing a burn test really )
so i upped the votage from stock 1.235 to 1.325 and increased v droop from auto up to level 3 ( max ) and this was the only way i could get it stable,
now three days latter it is failing again .....
its all water cooled, not over clocked, is it just dying, owned it for just over a year and a half, been folding for 6 months....
dont have time to game atm as its exams, so dont know if it is game stable, but i was wondering if there is any suggestions, on a side note the digital audio out has gone funny , the system hangs every now and a again, and have had a few freezes,

once again suggestions on a fix......

whoa whoa whoa,

You jumped from 1.23 to 1.32 in a single jump, that's just silly to be honest mate.. If it's not overclocked and you've not changed anything else you should just set your BIOS to default values. In addition to that do a BIOS update as well.

Have you reset your BIOS to stock settings? As I said before if you're not overclocking etc then you shouldn't have to change anything.

I can't imagine it's going to be your CPU that's failing since you've not overclocked it.
