TT Water 2.0 Pro temps on i5-3570k

Thread Starter
Currently my i5-3570k is running on 4.2ghz(just changed the multiplier and everything's on auto) with 1.168v on full load(is this okay?). My idle temps on a push pull configuration are from 26-34 degrees and upon running prime95 blend mode(30 mins) core temp registers 82 degress as the highest temp(core 2) on one of the cores and the others range from 78-80 as the highest. And why is it that on core 4, when it's on idle it only registers about 37-39 degrees as its idle temps, much higher than the other cores. My ambient temps ranges from 28-32(it's kinda hot here in my country).

Are the idle and load temps normal? Because i expect the Water 2.0 Pro to perform better. I did just use the pre-applied tim on the Pro. Planning to buy a better tim one's i have time to buy one.

And whats wrong with my 4th core? Is this normal?

yea, its "normal" that one core a hotter then the others.
usually you have 1 "cool" core, 2 about the same, and 1 hothead ..lol
difference between my hottest and coolest was about 10-15C

on auto the vcore is a bit higher then set by hand,
but yours is ok with that vcore, np there smile.gif
but could prolly be lower, lower vcore=lower temps

nice watercooler, was thinking about buying the extreme edition,
try to stay somewhere between 85-90C max while running prime,
lower is better of course, yea ivy is a hot one when ocing,
what tim are you using now?

wasnt sure anymore,
hokies83 told me one of the reasons was 1 core is next to the graphics card,

but could be he said the imc ..lol
