Good lord, that is an incredible price! I wonder if they will do that AND the $40 discount on a CPU/Mobo combo?

That would make a 2500k and GA-Z77Z-UD3H combo only $249.98 before the combo discount, or $199.98 for BOTH after the discount.

Throw 8GB of Samsung memory on it for $47.99 and CM 212+ for $25.99 and for under $275, you could have a 4.5GHz system EASILY.

pretty hard to believe unless it was the best 930 in the world. And even then I wouldn't believe before I got proof.

the best 930 validation (on hwbot) on water is 5008MHz and used 1.64v, and there are only 7 other validations of the 930 on air/water that are over 5ghz and all but one needed over 1.6v, the best one being 1.575v.

And again, those are validations...

Not saying it was the best in the world.. but i remember back in 1366 days quite afew 5ghz chips...

But you can PM the receiver and ask about it i sold it to him after all. It was on a Rampage III Extreme.

there really weren't a lot of 5ghz... I can't remember seeing a single one that did over 4.6ghz 24/7 (not including the 32nm gulftowns) even on phase. And nehalem still scaled with cold unlike SB so reaching those frequencies tongue.gif

on hwbot there are:

12 930s that have done superpi 1m at 5ghz+, all of which used extreme cooling
5 930s that have done wPrime 32m at 5ghz+, all of which used extreme cooling
3 930s that have done wPrime1024m at 5ghz+, all of which used LN2 and only one of which reached more than 6mhz over the 5ghz mark. <-this one is the only one even close relevant when it comes to 24/7 numbers

If you were talking about a 980X or a 990X I might just believe it, but without any proof I refuse to believe that any 930 could run 5ghz 24/7 and be stable.

Has anyone ever been to a Microcenter? Are they like used car salesmen? When you go to buy your $99 CPU is there an associate behind the counter pushing you to "upgrade" to a more expensive model?
