Will this processor work with this motherboard?

Hi all. I'm getting ready to build a new cpu for my boy. It will be a budget build that I am hoping can last him for several years as he is only 7. I would like to get an AM3+ mobo and then a AM3 processor....will those work together? this is what I'm looking at...

Ya that chip will work for that board. If you go to the motherboard manufacturer page for the board you want it lists the cpus that work on the board. Heres a link to the cpus that work on the board your looking at just in case you were thinking of a different chip.

Will work fine, but for $15 more you can get the 955BE (what I use)
The 955 has L3 cache, and supports overclocking.
