Best GPU under $150

Thread Starter
Hey all. I'm building a new CPU and need a suggestion on the best card right now that is under $150. We will be using the cpu to play Portal 2, Arkham City and BF3. I don't need a card that will max the games, but at least 30-40 FPS on high settings would be nice...

Thoughts? I have always been a fan of ATI/AMD cards but am willing to try Nvidia...I like the fact that this one comes with Duke Nukem (even though I heard the game is crap)...

Lower price is better as I have alot of other components to buy!

I recommend the Asus DCII version.

go with a 7850 much faster than a 650 ti , and it overclocks pretty good.

650 ti since i prefer Nvidia. An ATI card would probably give you more bang for the buck though TBH.

the lowest priced one would be $160 (over budget) and that is with a $20 MIR, which take FOREVER to go through.

Does it have to be new? There are some terrific deals in our marketplace, and elsewhere online. You could probably get a GTX480 in that price range, used. I got one new and although it is a power hog it runs very well...and still run every game at playable settings with max FPS. You're going to get much better cards if you are willing to buy used.

Thanks all. It doesn't have to be new...but I'm pretty leery about buying a used GPU from an overclocking site! No offense to anyone here...but I'm sure you can understand why I would be hesitant!
