Beatrlx Live CD Help?

Im trying to run this Live CD version but it doesnt wanna Load from BIOS, I made sure it runs CD drive first. It's my first time using any type of Linux. Can someone HELP? Do I maybee need linux to run this, just a thought?

No, you don't need any version/distro of linux installed on your hard drive...just windows will be fine.

On boot, if the cd doesn't automatically boot (it USUALLY will), look for a Boot Menu Option on startup (ESC for me) and hit CD-ROM in the list.

From there it should unfold itself; the livecd won't touch anything on your hard drive unless you force it to (like, get to a terminal and purposefully work with the windows partition). When you're done...reboot, eject cd. Back into windows. That simple.

Ok I will GIVE IT A SHOT. POST BACK, i will post back, hopefully through that linux. one more question, is that version of live cd good? Give me your opinion/s?

Beatrix is an ancient livecd...OLD software

If you want a more recent distro, look at slax

Link please, this thing is not working. Is it ok if i set all my boots to cd. It says boot from cd and then nothing just goes to my windows. Im going for another try.

Chances are you got a corrupted image that you downloaded or the cd is scratched.

Download SLAX from slax.linux-live.org (the ~190MB iso) and burn it to a cd using, for example, nero...if you did that for the beatrix iso i'd have to say it's a bad image/scratched disc.

Thanks, I'm downloading SLAX right now. I did use some messed up empty cs's. I wanna see this LINUX thingy.

Make sure the .iso file is burned as an image/bootable disc, and not just data to the CD.
