AHCI Drivers not showing in device manager

Hi all

I currently have an OCZ Agility 3 120gb and a 256 Vertex 4.

For some reason there is no AHCI controller present in my device manager?

I have been into BIOS and it says its in AHCI mode, also i downloaded the Intel RAID Driver from Asus website and it all "looks" as tho its in AHCI mode so i'm confused as to why theres nothing showing in device manager?

Because according to this link it says it should be showing in Device manager there: http://blog.ocztechnology.com/?p=178

unless that is the AHCI driver? must be surely?

"ASMedia" is the name of the non-Intel SATA ports.  These are the two red SATA ports on the very bottom, closest to the bottom of the motherboard - or, the ports furthest away from the black ports.  These ports should be avoided and disabled in the "Onboard Devices Configuration" area of the UEFI BIOS.

 

Do you have your drives connected to these ports right now?  Judging from this screenshot of Device Manager, it looks to me like you are using these ASMedia ports.

What's listed under "Storage Controllers"?

It does look like you might be plugged into the Asmedia ports instead of the Intel ones.
