Well, I imagine you're reading the results of the Highest Playable Settings testing...there, the 670 may have higher FPS, but it's at a lower resolution/detail settings. Look over it again and double check.

That site is Bias Against AMD.

They always downplay AMD victories and make a huge fuss over some "Smoothness" they claim to experience with Nvidia but cannot explain or give data for. Not so much in this review but prevalent in most of their other ones.

well for the longest time the were supposedly biased in AMD's favor, but I did notice that the launch window of the 7970 and all the driver problems they had really pissed them off (rather it was AMD's inability to provide a "working crossfire driver" and other solutions in a timely manner that did it) and their tone toward AMD turned ugly quick. they have downplayed AMD "victories" over the past year and lauded some of nvidia's, but the results speak for themselves and are fine with me. they test gameplay at highest playable settings and do apple-to-apples comparisons so it's fair enough.
