Thread Starter
I'm trying to get mine to 2.6/2.7 Anyone else get theirs around that? Highest I've gotten is 2595mhz

Edit: Typo - Their, not there.

alexisd: What bios settings are you using for DRAM? What speed do you have it set at? I couldn't get over 2.55 with a x10 multiplier no matter what my ram settings were. Could have been an voltage issue I dunno. When I switched to x11, I was able to set my RAM at 333 with 1.45 volts to the CPU and everything is stable. I haven't tested further than this. Just curious what you got going. Mine is also running 2.7ghz, just at x11 instead of x10.

Hypothetically let's say someone was a n00b and didn't know what an ltd is. What would you tell them that it was?
Other than that, my bios on my A8n sli (non 32) looks a bit different..I hope I can tinker enough to figure things out without blowing anything up.
the way my system is now, I scored at 13894. You think this is decent?

alexisd has an exceptional 4400 =)

From almost every forum I've read the 4400 is almost certain to lose stability at the exact point your stating. I have a the same issue. Unless I put 1.65+ to the cpu I can not keep the cpu stable with a dual prime95 anything over 2.55. If I put the voltage to 1.65 I can stay stable at 2.75 but my temps soar through the roof. This seems to be the gernal trend for the 110w x2 4400's. Although some have had success getting higher clocks. Perhaps you guys can trade CPU's =)

LDT or HTT is the memory bus and it's relative multiplyer.
Default is 5x200=1000MHz exceding it by more than about 80 causes instability in most systems.
So, set the x to 4 for a CPU bus speed up to 260, beyond that drop the x to 3
Most just go for 3x and adjust up if necessary once the max CPU bus has been found

I got mine to 2.9 on water, I think it was stable, but I can't remember. Sorry I don't have any more info / proof, but my computer has been formatted many, many times.

I've got a 4600+, but i have it overclocked 3%. So, it shows 2.47. Can someone inform me on a stable level that i can tell a performance increase with? And, tell me the vcore, fsb and all that jazz too plx =)

Check my previous post #7...
It relates to the FSB or CPU bus speed.
As the CPU bus speed increases so does the RAM speed, thus the need to reduce the memory controler's multiplyer from 5 doen to 4x or 3x.
