Vertex 4 has no constant performance regarding real life usage, in synthetic benchmarks will show remarkable scores, (its tunred that way) but in real life scenarios 9after you get it 50% + full the performance drops alot.

My list would be,

Samsung 840 pro, Plextor M5 pro, Samsung 830, Crucial C300/M4 and Intel X25 (out of production)

I voted Vertex 4 ONLY because they can be had for so darn cheap. If it were the same price as the competitors I would not have voted for it.
Success.

Guys, the point on this voting is to vote for best, not for what you bought cheap, or you own it. Drop down the ego...

I voted Samsung because of the Design and it's been working so damn well for me and is consistently fast.

Although, I have no complaints what so ever with the Vertex line from OCZ. All of which (Vertex 60GB, Vertex 2 100GB, Vertex 3 120GB, Vertex 3 Max IOPS 120GB) are working very well and still fast and not have any problems but that's apparently very lucky. I've had problems with their other lines lol (solid series are bust and octane are the same) and I haven't tried their agility yet (although I own a 360GB vertex 3 and a 120GB vertex 4) plus they are cheap.

If I could vote for two, Samsung 830 for performance and the Vertex series for pure value (performance/cost).

EDIT:

I've only had the OCZs I've mentioned and the Samsung 830. Out of the two brands both seem reliable enough for me, however, for constistant performance I'd give it to the Samsung 830s. I can't compare the rest from personal opinion but I've seen reviews before buying the 830s and they were pretty good in comparison to the rest and I'd personally recommend the 830s for my friends if they were interested (for people I don't know I don't know tongue.gif since they rest are pretty good but if I had to choose between the best performance/reliability/cost I'd still pick the samsungs - or the m4's I hear are good but first pick is the samsungs for me ).

My vote goes to Samsung 840 Pro. Since it isn't listed, in the poll I just selected the 830.

Here I'm going to pick the only one I've used: the m4. Never had any issues with mine thumb.gif

Though I have heard that the 830s are very good SSDs too.

Samsung, probably one of the MOST reliable I've used, with sound performance to match. The price... relatively cheaper than their other higher end counterparts (UK prices).
