I'm not going to spend $60 on a rehash. I gave Black Ops a run when it was released and sure enough same issues that plagued MW2. The HUGE over-sized hitboxes. Plus you couldn't quick scope.
Halo 4's hitboxes are by far one of the better hitbox systems I've played in a while.

It feels different to black ops and it's playable unlike MW3..
You guys are lucky though.. In Australia it's $110 locally to get new release games. But if you look around you can usually find them at other places for $20 cheaper or so.

This review def is a paid review that can be seen. It is another COD but a fairly more fun one. DEF better than MW3 by far. If you go into any cod game thinking cod then you will be pleased. the one massive compaint I have is how terrible the game looks (I have it on 360). Maybe I am to spoiled with all my PC gaming but damn this game looks horrible. Yea 60fps but horrible graphics.

Your biggest problem with the game is not being able to quick scope?

Which is supposedly fixed in Black Ops 2. tongue.gif

After that p.o.s called MW3 i vowed never to buy CoD game again it was such a trash , worst game i bought but i gave in yesterday and i bought it ,
my curiosity took the better of me (as usual) i figured if I'm going to hate on CoD i have to know first hand what I'm hating on biggrin.gif
And i have to day i pleasantly surprised , it's much better than MW3 , i actually find it fun and refreshing after a year of BF3 , plus i get tat nostalgia from all the time i spent on CoD 4.
Trust me i was the first one to jump on the CoD hate bandwagon but Black Ops 2 is not that bad , much much better than last 2 CoD games.
You can see they've put some thought into this game and tried to refresh the series , plus PC version is much more polished too , i gotta give Treyarch credit for that.

I'm a big CoD fan, and I'd give it a 7/10 honestly. It's fun, but nothing amazing. I find the zombies mode to be too confusing to be fun, having to build gadgets and things like that are annoying. WaW will forever be my favorite zombies, it was easy to pick up and play whenever, the new zombies is tough until you know where everything is.

The only CoD to deserve a 9/10 in recent years is CoD4. Infinity Ward keeps milking the franchise dry with the same garbage game after game, and Treyarch's last "killer feature" for me is zombies, admittedly, WaW zombies are still my favorite.

Here are my CoD ratings:

- CoD 4: 9/10 - Solid game all around, by far my favorite CoD - Played MP for 10 days+

- CoD WaW: 8/10 - Zombies and co-op campaign were the only reasons I continued playing it after the first 2 months it was out - Played MP for 5 days+

- CoD MW2: 7/10 - Spec Ops was a nice addition, MP was awful) - Played MP for 5 days+

- CoD BO: 6/10 - The only thing I enjoyed was MP, and it wasn't that great honestly, I never even prestiged - Played MP for less than 2 days

- CoD MW3: 5/10 - IW really did a terrible job on this one and was a step back from MW2 in every way for me, Spec Ops was awful, MP was awful, it is the only CoD that I wish I hadn't bought - Played for 2.5 days (The infected game mode was the only game mode I played after it was added, I only played because my friends did, I hated it)

- CoD BO2: 7/10 - Campaign is pretty boring so far, but the MP is the best I've played in CoD in a long time

I like that Treyarch does things like this..

All the back and forth in here is just funny lol. I don't plan on buying this, but play with people of all ages on different systems who play this. For those who like to classify it by age, the teenagers in my clan tend to have higher ratings of the game, especially the singleplayer. The older and wisened/experienced gamers have tended to be a bit more objective and really look at the game. The graphics are good, but not great by todays standards. The gameplay is nothing new or really innovative, but the story is decent. The multiplayer is the same... but the maps are horrible. I really see no reason to waste $60 for this game when it's basically the same as the past few.

I've said a few times talking to people lately that these places could drive a good amount more business by offering a single player only version, for people like me who just can't stand CoD multiplayer. I would buy it for the campaign, since I like a good story and most everyone I've spoken too has said the story is the best part of the game. It would probably get a lot more people to try games like this that are very polarized or hyped in single player first, or maybe a decent demo... and then have the option to upgrade to online also for the rest of the retail price. You could still buy the normal full version, but frequently... i have no interest in the online aspect since it's all the same stuff I've seen for the past decade for the most part.

My view on Call Of Duty now is akin to snow.
Snow ( for us in England, at least ) comes around once every year. When he watch the weather forecast, kids and adults alike get all excited for the change in scenery. Hype is building days before any actual snow fall. Then the night the snow is meant to fall, the tension is killing us - will it snow? Won't it snow? Will we go to school in the morning? We go to bed satisfied that there is a high chance of no school the following day. Our excited builds. Then the day awakens, open to the fresh, white blanket of snow which has now engulfed all around us. We go out, high anticipation of the fun we are about to have, throwing snow balls, making forts etc. And it's great, great for the first couple of hours at least. Then, well, then it gets boring, and we remember why we wanted the snow to leave last year, and the year before that....and the year before that. Roads are blocked, cars won't start, airports shut; trains cancelled. Once the hype of it dies down, are we left with? Soggy feet. That's what. Yet, no matter what, people still get excited for it every year, and no doubt, excited people will be out in force this year as the white stuff falls.
And this, in a long winded way, is how I see the Call of Duty franchise right now. The hype for the new game which arises every November builds from around the end of the summer, it's getting earlier every year mind you, and by the time November eventually comes around, people cannot contain their excited at the new features said game will bring. The game drops, people for the first week LOVE it, everyone singing their praises, IGN giving it a 9.3/10, having reviewed it for a maximum of 12 hours. The game is seen as a 'success'. Yet, by the end of Christmas, the game has achieved many flaws, people are left wandering why they bought the game, "Why is that perk in the game?". As the game gets older, more people are going to find exploits to give them the advantage. The game very soon becomes dry, just as the snow melts away after those great first couple of days.
After 6 months, the game is dead, and, worse of all, your feet are wet.

If you actually read all that, thanks. thumb.gif
