Editor's choice awards are great. You get to read the thoughts and opinions of a seasoned authority in a particular field, sharing their experiences with products and offering recommendations on what they like the best. You can really learn a lot that way, and that got us thinking - if one person, or a small team, can provide great information on products, what might happen if we took an entire community of enthusiasts and asked them to use their knowledge and experience to put together product recommendations?
The answer to that question is the Overclock.net Community Choice awards. Our team has assembled collections of some of the best representatives from nearly 40 categories of computer hardware and related gear, everything from CPUs to GPUs, cases to routers, and we want to know what your top picks are. This is a chance to voice your appreciation for great overclocker gear, and you'll be heard directly by manufacturers. What if your favorite product isn't listed? If it fits with the category, post it as a thread reply! We will include "write-in" votes like this in the final count.
Assembling collections, in this case, wasn't just building spreadsheets - we're also holding nearly $75,000 in gear, representing almost every single product you see listed among each category - and as a part of the deal, we're giving every one of those items away, each to a randomly selected voter. You can vote in as many categories as you like - up to 12 of your votes will be counted as entries in hardware giveaways.
Full terms and conditions for the giveaway portion of this event can be found here. Voting will be open for a two week period, at which point we'll tally the results and present the Community Choice Awards to their recipients. Shortly thereafter we'll announce gear giveaway winners.
We're excited to see months of legwork finally culminate in such an expansive program, and hope you're as excited to see what the community really likes as we are.
With all of that said, lets kick off the 2012 Overclock.net Community Choice Awards! Get to voting!
