Purchased this RAM

I ordered this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314

from the Egg and got an additional 10% off for having purchased a new GPU ....so after buying this RAM and some additional ram for another PC it ended up costing me $32.08 for the DDR3 RAM thumb.gif My question is this....the new RAM timings are 9 9 9 24 and the Ram in my sig is 7 8 7 24 so what Bios settings should I go with to make the 2 play nice together ?

Looking forward to the results thumb.gif Can you tell me if you are mixing them in with RAM that has different timings? If so the #'s you come up with may help me when my new RAM arrives. Thanks

Well that is one of my concerns. Will I be inviting trouble / less than optimal performance by running 2 (2gb) sticks with 2 (4gb) sticks and different timings on both? Hence the purpose of my thread. Sorry for not being more clear in the OP

Hi Denny smile.gif

I'm thinking set all your RAM at 9 9 9 24!
As that is the lower out of the two sets of timing smile.gif
At least I think it's that way headscratch.gif

Or but another 8GB set devil-smiley-019.gif

Oh, and if you're thinking of having a go at making RAM Disks, try this free RAM Disk App thumb.gif

I had a similar thing with my first build. Bought some lower end G.skill ram and then saw a deal for some better ripjaws, i now have everything running at 1866, even the lower ram and its holding up quite nicely.thumb.gif
