They're good at pushing games that sell well, but they do push the performance of consoles pretty well. Some games like Crysis 2 look better, but they're running at 30fps so they literally have twice the power to make things look better. They could push boundaries on the PC but the COD games are making 85-90% of their sales on consoles, so the extra development cost wouldn't warrant it much. Next-gen consoles will raise the minimum bar and you'll see a large bump in PC game graphics in the next 12-18 months (multiplatform games on PC, that is).
100% not serious. Granted they are pushing consoles. But I'm on here for PC's not consoles..lol Be happy when the next gen comes out so they can be running 4 year old GPU's and CPU's instead of 10 year old hardware.
