QUESTIONS:

Can I run all 3 monitors with eyefinity if resolution and Hz are different? All monitors are listed. Ive had issues with my 2 monitors working my with my projector. It would be a plus to have eyefinity for certain games. Its definitely abusive in diablo and would be really fun for horror games.

Is there any reason not to get this monitor with cost in mind?

Is there any reason this monitor wont be good for gaming, mainly RTS and some FPS, only RTS I play competitively.

Its supposed to come with a dual DVI link cable and my card says it is supported, and the cable comes with monitor from comments. I do not care about color accuracy to pay more for it and I do not really care about 3d, and by care I mean not willing to spend money on it atm since my rig is fairly budget.

Is there a list of eyefinity supported games? Im sure there is but any personal recommendations of games that are very enjoyable with it or run it well, or that are horrible/run poorly. I dont think I can play BF3 with it but Ill try of course.

Heres some lists of eyefinity/multi monitor games I found to show Im not being lazy tongue.gif:

I was also looking at that monitor but it has a review saying that the input latency was really bad, since I would be using it for gaming, it kinda defeats the purpose of being 120 hz

Yeh I saw that too and was concerned. I always read a massive majority of positive and negative comments...

If its a major problem I will return it but I think they mean it was bad for a 120hz monitor for competitive players, and will probably still be a major improvement for me. And I dont think I could bring myself to spend $500 or so on a BenQ anytime soon so I hope this works out.

The only thing Im still confused about is I need to be able to hook up 3 monitors, so do I just need a powered display port adapter or not, and can you use a display port to dvi and a dvi to vga converter after it? My projector is vga and I use it sometimes and Id rather just change one thing. Ugh..... I dont even want to think about this stuff........

Only 2 connections that will transport 120hz data is DVI-D dual link & display port. Easiest way will be 3 dvi-d dual link cables connected to your 6970CF, 2 connections to first gpu and 1 to second(if i remember correctly) Powered display port adapters are expensive as hell, I would avoid those.

Be aware once you go triple screen gaming (it is freaking aweome & immersive) it will be almost impossible to go back to 1 screen. It spoils the hell out of you! When I try to go back to one 27inch monitor now it looks awful. I feel like I am blinded on my side, like I'm gaming out of a box!

Sure you can play BF3 with that setup. But 5760x1080 you wont that high of a framerate. Playable sure, but to take advantage of your 120hz monitors you need to keep your FPS at a minimum of 80FPS, and will of course look it's best near 120fps. Gonna need some more GPU horsepower for that. smile.gif

Flying a choppa on BF3 @ 5760x1080 res is a eye-opener!!! You can finally see the whole front of the heli + your flanks! Truely jaw-dropping.

The monitors need to run at the same resolution and hertz, and if they are different monitors they all need to be running the same polarity. The best way to do it is to run all 3 of the same monitors. I have done it on 2 different types of monitors but I had to manually change the polarity on them. Also had to run at 60hz as only 1 monitor was 120hz.

Oops I thought you were getting 3 120hz monitors. Read you post incorrectly, sorry.
