WoW: Mists of Panderia FPS

Thread Starter
Hi,

I really just want to know what graphics card people have and what FPS they are getting on this. I have been back and forth with support with my problem of hardly pulling 30 FPS with my 6950?

In the panda starting area I am getting about 15 FPS on good settings.

Done the usual of reinstalling drivers, complete driver sweep and reinstalled the whole game. Made no difference, its so frustrating.

What FPS are you getting on what card?

Thanks

You are CPU bound. Overclock your CPU and watch FPS skyrocket.
Also make sure you are running DX11 64-bit client.

It shouldn't have such an impact compared to what I was getting before the expansion which was 50+ fps. I only have it set to 3.7Ghz.

Also im pretty sure it is the 64bit version of direct x im running

I have exactly the same problem!

Outside area's my fps is avarage about 25, and sometimes drops to 21!
Inside building and dungeons i get a solid 59 FPS!

If i look at my hardware, neither my videocard (ATI radeon 6870) or my cpu (Amd phenom x4 960T , 3,7Ghz overclocked) are using 100% , so yea its not like i can see there is a specific lack of power in a hardware part.

On the other hand it is a fairly old engine , so i can understand what Zalbard says, overclocking !biggrin.gif

I think those old game engines tend to be more CPU bound.
What kind of CPU do you have?

Weird. I'm using the GTX 670 and a 2700k overclocked to 4.6GHz and I'm getting 100+ FPS constantly.

I have decent FPS in WoW on a single 5850 except for areas with very detailed foliage like Krasarang Wilds / Valley of the Four Winds, etc.

I would hate to see your FPS while killing the boss in IoC.

Is that comparable hardware?

What do you mean by comparable?

EDIT: Wait I understand what you mean. Ok my 670 is better compared to a 7870 or the 7950. But I would imagine at 1080p on ultra settings, the 6950 should be getting about 50 - 60 fps.

No, he's not. Why dose everyone accuse AMD CPU's as being the problem?

@ OP, Have you checked drivers? Chipset, GPU, ext. Also, a lot of FPS problems in WOW is the internet connection, have you checked it out?

A965 and 6950 should stomp the crap out of wow.
