WoW: Mists of Panderia FPS - Page 3

Make a backup of your Cache folder and paste it on your desktop or w/e and then delete the folder from your WoW directory and see if there's an improvement. I know I used to do that if I had weird lag. Sometimes it would only happen on a certain character.

I completely reinstalled the game yesterday and got rid of all WoW related folders on my computers so im sure it isnt the game thats causing the problem.

Here you can see my system performance biggrin.gif
I reduced the shadow and multisampling to keep it around 25/30 Fps at min in a heavy populated area, thumb.gif

il try pandaria next, and i wil install a monitor that shows my GPU performance rolleyes.gif
edit
Also i recently updated to Windows 8 Pro with mediacenter pack biggrin.gif
I am looking to optimize my system for gaming performance.

Game is fine, maybe we both need to find ways to optimize performance.
Sinds it is a pretty old engine it might proof more difficult then other new released games/engines or so, not realy my expertise but stil, its what i think thumb.gif

Put settings to fair. If you see substantial improvement, it's a coding bug. I have a gtx 670 and it crashes me out above fair settings. Very irritating.

If it's of any consolation, here's what I need my WoW to be set at on a 2600k rig with a single 5850 to get anywhere near desirable frame rates in intensive areas:

Turn liquid detail down some, it hits performance pretty hard.

Interesting settings, how is the fps in the new expansion questing area's?

Also i just find it wierd that even hardware is not 100% used, the game stil shows lack of framerate with certain settings? rolleyes.gif

If you are not maxing out either your Graphics card or your CPU and your frames are low its probably an add-on or poor coding. There was an issue with Power Aura's Classic where when enabled didn't actually work but would still FPS limit you at around 40-45 FPS.

My 560TI can pump 50+ in most areas even when flying over valley of the four winds with everything set to Ultra settings at 2560X1440. The power auras issue was limiting me to ~45 FPS while at 1080p even in raids with as low as 40% GPU and 30% CPU usage.

@Rittzy if your GPU is being maxed out then the only way to bump frame rates is to turn down settings. Unless it is due to poor coding by blizzard which wouldn't surprise me....
