Bell HTC Incredible S

Thread Starter
I currently use a Bell HTC Incredible S. Its current android firmware is gingerbread (2.3.3). However I cannot upgrade the android firmware past this as Bell doesnt let u. I dont know why. Bell just doesnt. If i were to unlock my phone, would i be able to upgrade the android firmware to ICS or Jellybean or something? cuz gingerbread is terribly slow on my phone for some reason that i just cant figure out... I have 536mb free on my phone and 1.7gb free on the SD card....

So my main question is if i unlock my phone will i be able to upgrade the android firmware even if Bell doesnt allow u to go past 2.3.3?

The Bell Incredible S is the one Incredible S that has no third-party ROM community. You'd be wasting your time trying to unlock it.
