WD black many people recommended this for gamers

I've used the Samsung F3's, they were loud, in comparison to my choice. I've used the Barracuda's, they didn't perform as well as my choice. I've used the Caviar Blacks in builds were budget permitted it to be. They are reliable, and the speeds are amazing for a mechanical drive. Well worth the premium above it's competitors. So the Caviar Blacks get my choice. I've not had any problems with my drives, no bad sectors in the 5 that are currently in use.

Once again I had to choose only what was listed. I have no problems with WD Caviar Blacks, but I much prefer the RE Series.

I just received a pair of 1 GB WD RE-4's yesterday. The best of the best, especially for RAIDing.

Samsung spinpoint every time. Mine have been beautifully reliable and swift. Given the seagate 7200.11 debacle, I'm hesitant to recommend the barracuda.

After few years WD Black still going strong in my system. I realize other drives are good but this one wins with a little sentiment.
