I think your best bet would be to see if you could just get the purchase canceled, so you can make it again properly.

It's been two weeks, and Valve has no return period. It's safe to say that Valve has no interest in resolving this issue.

Submit another support ticket. That's probably the best course of action. I wouldn't threaten any legal action or anything (unless you're willing to follow through with the claim), but tell them straight up that if your issue is not resolved it may keep you from purchasing games in the future.

If you want to be effective without getting legal, threaten them with future business. That usually gets their attention.

I wonder if you could file a magistrate claim if they banned your account since those are items you already payed for. I know in Pennsylvania if you file a magistrate claim and they don't respond/send a lawyer to fight it then you automatically win. I don't know about your state though.

People keep forgetting that Valve is made up of little under 300 employees all in house in Luxembourg or Seattle.
Where EA/Origin is multinational and with a large international customer support division.

Valve does need to improve CS though with more agents and more ways of support. They are big enough to support a bigger expanded division dedicated to customer support.

bestbuy email support was comprised of about 20 people, from what an ex employee told me.
they responded or were required to respond within 24hrs.
imo that's a much larger customer base than the quantity of emails valve would ever get.

Valve is honestly a pretty bad company towards customers from everything I have seen lately. They don't give 2 craps about customers with their recent threats that if you didn't accept the last TOS you'd lose access to games you ALREADY payed for.

Personally I would love to stop buying games from steam but unfortunately they are the #1 means of game distribution ATM.

It was awhile back, I only had counterstrike source and games I got for free from promo's at the time. Like the OP is experiencing, steam support doesn't seem to budge very easily.

I tried to boycott them for awhile but gave up as it's almost impossible these days. It's better just to be really careful with your account. I also don't accept steam gifts anymore xD.
