More than likely it's due to ignorance. Those people don't realize that IBM is still a major player in the IT world, especially in the systems architecture/ consulting/ datacenter fields. They probably think it's just an "old " hardware vendor from the 80s rolleyes.gif

Do people even realise what IBM did for computing by creating the System/360, DRAM, ATMs, VMs, HDDs, FDDs, hell, even RISC CPUs - and let's not forget corporate culture. One of my pet peeves is when people on here dare (yes, dare)
to refer to INTEL as the "Big Blue". IBM is probably the most important company in computing history.

All the IBM hate is due to ignorance, just complete ignorance. It's due to the fact that they know nothing about technological history, or development, but because they know how to build a computer and overclock they think they are the know it alls, so they act that way on here.

In reality, IBM is the reason why modern computing is the way it is today. They have probably brought more innovation and creation to computing then any other company in history. Before posting stupid ignorant posts, go and educate yourselves.

This must be one of the silliest posts I've read in a long time. It's obvious you didn't watch the video since you just made a fool out of yourself. Fyi, IBM just solved one of the biggest cooling hurdles for enterprise environments and in a manner only IBM is uniquely capable of, incorporating the water within the die lol.

People hate on IBM because they don't make nextgen super fast GRAFIX cards for their favourite console ports

Isn't IBM that old hardware vendor from the 80s?

IBM needs to buy AMD already and give Intel some real competition.

There's not much of an article, which is disappointing because IBM seems to be way ahead of the game in terms of developing tomorrow's state of the art (compared to Intel which is refining today's state of the art).

Meta on topic: IMO video-only 'articles' are annoying. Spoken voice + moving pictures is an inefficient method of communication. Text is both more precise and the knowledge contained in it can be assimilated more rapidly compared to video and/or audio.
